Our Story

Hidden Camp Farm is nestled in the gorgeous rolling hills of Montgomery County, in the small town of Canajoharie, NY. The farm was founded and owned by the King family and has been operating since 2009.

The King’s are an Amish family originally from Lancaster, Pennsylvania. John, a welder by trade and Ruth raised on a dairy farm, had a dream to own a farm and raise their family. 

In the spring of 2009, their dream was realized. They purchased 140 acres of vacant land and began to build.

Since then, they built their home where John and Ruth raise their five children.

They built a large barn which is split into two sections. One section is used to house their numerous horses. The second section is used for milking their herd of 100% grass-fed organic Jersey cows.

They also built a chicken barn to house the laying hens. This barn is split as well. The first half is used to house their chickens and the second half is used brood their famous Thanksgiving turkeys. They also have a section used to wash, grade, and pack their wonderful organic soy-free eggs.

Since 2011, Hidden Camp Farm has sold its all natural products to health food stores and co-ops up and down the Hudson River corridor. Beginning in 2020, Hidden Camp Farm decided to change their business and began selling directly to the customer.

To bring consumers great healthy foods, Hidden Camp Farm needed some help.

We have developed partnerships with a close-knit group of small, sustainable, family farms, and producers who practice farming with nature without using harmful pesticides, chemicals, and artificial growth hormones.

We treat our livestock with respect and let them live their lives the way God intended. We try to keep them outdoors as much as the weather allows and create a low stress, all natural and healthy environment for them to live in. Learn more about our partners.

Our group of family farmers all have special talents and a vision for the future as we work together to grow our unique operation.

We have been fortunate to be able to build a community of farmers that are skilled in raising pastured livestock and producing high quality, traditional, nutrient dense, raw, and organic foods.

Through our network of producers, Hidden Camp Farm has been able to offer a wide variety of ethically and sustainably produced, local foods from a whole collective of farms. We carefully pack and deliver those goods to you.
