Why we don't use sprays, chemicals, or any of that unhealthy stuff. It's bad!

Have you ever thought about the danger and the acids that are involved with synthetic chemicals and herbicides?
I think sometimes we use some of this stuff on daily basis without even really realizing how harmful it actually is.
Using synthetic chemicals and herbicides on land takes place on most conventional farms throughout America. This is done for weed control. However, chemicals are not good for the earth that we live upon. It will degrade the community of living microorganisms.
It’s killing our land.
Microorganisms are needed in the soil to help break down the organic matter, they will release essential nutrients and carbon dioxide into the soil and will help break down plants and convert them into mineral substances.
Chemicals can also cause contamination to the air, land, and kill earthworms, carabid beetles, and all the great grubs that are needed to help irritate the soil.
Some studies show that chemicals cause cancer, Alzheimer's disease, and can potentially be harmful to the nervous system, reproductive system (both human & land), the endocrine system, liver and kidney damage, and the list just goes on and on.
Read the warning label.
If you read the “warning” label on a bottle of synthetic chemicals, more than likely it will tell you what may happen if you get it on your skin, in your mouth, or in your eyes. What does it say? May cause cancer, temporary or permanent health issues, and more!
The image below even mentions the reproductive harm that the product may cause.
Right. Obviously we would never think to swallow it or anything like that, BUT if the label is saying this, and farmers put it on their land year after year. What’s gonna happen? In years to come there will be no regeneration left in the soil. It will kill all the good microorganisms, earth worms, bugs, and all the things that are needed to break down the soil to keep it in the natural regenerative program.
This is why Hidden Camp Farm (and our vendors) do not use any synthetic chemicals on our land. To help weed control we would simply, before we plant in the spring, take a tooth harrow or disc over the field to work it up and get the weeds knocked down. Once the seeds are in the ground we’ll let it grow together and just hope that the weeds don’t take over too much.
We farm the regenerative way. Where every living creature at the farm has full access to pasture and all the land get's treated the way Mother Nature intended it to.
Wishing you all the best in health.
