North Country Creamery is owned and operated by Steven & Ashley who take pride in farming the organic and regenerative way. They treat their animals with respect and raise them the way that nature intended animals to be raised.

Their herd of Milking Shorthorn and Jersey cows are 100% grass fed. Their farm is also Animal Welfare Approved and free of harmful chemicals, pesticides, antibiotic uses etc.

The bottom line is, they farm exactly the way we do here at Hidden Camp and that is why we chose their products in our store. Click here to learn more about North Country and their practices.

Grass-fed Creamy Yogurt is the best!  Yogurt is a protein powerhouse that has benefits for all stages of life.

I was doing some research recently on yogurt's health value, and you know I don't think I found one negative article about yogurt, and especially if it is made from naturally sourced milk and other ingredients.

Yogurt is good for the heart, it helps build stronger muscle and bone structure, it keeps teeth in wonderful shape and health, It can be used as a natural immunity booster, reduces cancer risk, helps with blood sugar to keep it regulated.

With its high protein levels of calcium, vitamins, and live cultures or probiotics it can improve the gut microbiota which supports the digestive system and energy level of our bodys. In fact, its calcium level is so great that an 8 ounce cup of yogurt provides up to half of a body's daily requirement for calcium.

Yogurt also carries an excellent source of vitamins and minerals such as vitamin B12, B6, and more. Apparently plain (non flavored) yogurt carries a higher level of vitamins D & C, folate, phosphorus and calcium.

Flavored yogurts that are sweetened with refined sugars will certainly not have the same great nutritional value as the plain yogurt will.

That is why North Country never uses any artificial flavors or sweeteners in any of their wonderful products. In fact, the vanilla, maple and lemon flavored yogurts are sweetened with pure NY maple syrup from Sacred Roots Maple and the extract used in the lemon and vanilla yogurts are certified organic.

And the creamOh yes, and the creamline on this yogurt is just phenomenal! If you would dip a spoon in a container of yogurt, you'll simply get a spoonful of thick & rich cream that has an excellent flavor, as well as more nutritional values.

You can read more about this wonderful farm on their website at northcountrycreamery.com or follow them on social media @northcountrycreamery.

It is also best to eat yogurt in the morning on an empty tummy.

After doing all this research and learning all the nutritional values of yogurt I've decided to try and eat more yogurt myself:)
