DIY Grass-fed A2/A2 Ghee
While ghee is readily available in stores, making it at home with high-quality ingredients like 100% grass-fed A2/A2 butter can elevate its flavor and nutritional profile even further.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Start by placing the butter in a heavy-bottomed saucepan or a stainless steel pot.
  2. Turn the heat to medium-low and allow the butter to melt completely.
  3. Once the butter has melted, reduce the heat to low and let it simmer gently.
  4. As the butter simmers, you will notice foam rising to the surface. Use a spoon to skim off the foam and discard it.
  5. Continue simmering the butter on low heat, keeping an eye on it to prevent it from burning. You'll start to see the milk solids separating and sinking to the bottom of the pot.
  6. After about 20-30 minutes, the butter will turn a golden color, and you'll notice a nutty aroma. At this point, remove the pot from the heat.
  7. Allow the ghee to cool for a few minutes before carefully straining it through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a clean, dry glass jar.
  8. Discard the milk solids left behind in the pot.
  9. Once the ghee has cooled completely, cover the jar with a lid and store it at room temperature or in the refrigerator.

Making ghee at home using high-quality ingredients like our 100% grass-fed A2/A2 butter is a simple and rewarding process.
