Corn & Soy Free Pastured Whole Chicken

3-4 pound range

No Corn - No Soy!

No soy or corn in their diet, or yours!

In order for a chicken to produce the proper amount of meat at the proper age it needs to eat some feed ration other than just table scraps and grass. However, just because they eat grain doesn't mean that their meat will be bad for you.

We found a better solution! The grain fed to these chickens does not have any corn or soy proteins in it at all. It is grown 100% organically by local farmers who do not use any chemicals at all. It is a much healthier choice!

The most common side effects of soy are digestive upsets. Soy may alter thyroid function in people who are deficient in iodine. Studies have shown that a diet high in soy products can have rapid, large-scale negative effects on gut bacteria, particularly Lactobacillus and Bifidobacteria, two strains of bacteria that are incredibly important for microbial health.

Compared to barn-raised and conventionally-raised chickens, Pasture-raised poultry has been shown to have three times the omega-3s, 50 percent more vitamin A, D, and E, and 21 percent less saturated fat. Healthy chicken = Healthy you!

Cooking Tip: You can roast or bake anywhere between 325 and 450℉. When roasting a whole chicken, a nice rule of thumb is to start at 400 to 425℉ and then turn the oven down to 350 after 15 minutes and cook until the internal temp of the chicken is 165-175℉ on an instant read thermometer.

Another Tip: To get the meat very juicy and tender simply marinate it with this marinate recipe and then cook and enjoy!
