Fresh Concord Grape Juice Tips and Info.

Pre-ordering Tips;

Because this juice is freshly pressed and we need to make a long trip to receive it we are taking pre-orders. This may get a bit confusing for you as pre-ordering works differently than a regular order. For example: If you want 1 gallon and 2 quarts you will have to place two individual orders. You will be able to add as many of one size to each individual order as you want but you won't be able to add any other products to a pre-order.

Why we do grape juice.

Back in 2010 or so my Mom wanted some fresh grape juice to make grape jellies, pudding, and more great products. So upon looking around a little bit they came across this winery in Fingerlakes NY (Fulkerson Winery) who sold freshly pressed juice each year. However, going down the the Fingerlakes was quite a trip to make for only a few gallons of juice and was not worthwhile, so my parents contacted some folks in our Amish community here and asked them if they would buy some juice off of them if they would pay the transportation. They found quite a few families that were interested and so they started doing this each year around the last week of September and have been doing it ever since.

This grape juice is not organic. However, it is freshly pressed from concord grapes and it is grown right by the finger lakes.

How to keep the juice;

Because this is a fresh product and has no preservatives and additives to it, it has a very short shelf life in the refrigerator. In fact, it may only go up to 5 days before you start tasting a different texture. However, in the past we've learned that if we put it in the freezer immediately after we bottle it it can stay in there for as long as a year and it will still taste as fresh as ever when you get it out again. 

So if you are in the delivery area where you do not get your next delivery until next week or the following, we will more than likely put your juice in the freezer until your next delivery date. This is going to be perfectly safe and you will still get good quality juice.
